Kelsey Patel is one of Hollywood’s leading wellness and reiki experts, as well as newly published author of Burning Bright: Rituals, Reiki, and Self-Care to Heal Burnout, Anxiety, and Stress.   • Kelsey talks about how being open to discovering new, healthier ways to manage past pain led her to find yoga, and then eventually become a Reiki Master
  • Find relief by granting yourself permission to do whatever it is that makes you feel good 
  • What Reiki is and how it has the ability to lessen physical pain and discomfort in additional heal emotional pain
  • Why we have to be open in order for Reiki or anything in life to work 
  • How through surrender, you can begin to allow yourself to replace feelings of fear, and lack of control with feelings of joy and relief
  • Why it’s important to be curious about yourself, and to do what you want. Don’t just do what you think is expected of you. 
  • Finding relief by giving ourselves to relax  and do what makes us feel good in the moment  
  • When things feel too hard, give yourself permission to relax, and take a nap 

 

As soon as I got off the call with Kelsey I jokingly...but like not joking...emailed her immediately and told her that I thought she did virtual reiki on me during the call because I felt a shift in the way I was thinking about something that was giving me a bit of anxiety.
